Question:
Why was the price of a stove only $50 in autumn 2022, then the price rose to $100 and now costs $150?

ANSWER:
Price was $50
in August of 2022: In the first batch, the stove cost $50 because the stoves were fabricated by volunteers in a small workshop in Zaporizzija’s shopngissa. At that time, the model N fireplace was a very simple and cheap model.
The workshop in Zaporizzijie could not prepare this prototype from volunteers. It wasn’t worth the stove of today. Now, the stove model in surplus has been made of metal, which did not include flaking.

Hinta $100 in the winter of 2022: The following order quantities were not possible for a small workshop principle. Production transferred to a factory in Kiovala where they could make thousands more stoves – labor paid and the model was improved.
Significant improvements were made to the structure of the stoves. Quality improved significantly since the prototype model. The price went up, but the quality was still missing from the fireplace.

Price $150 in fall of 2023: As the war progresses raw materials ran out in Ukraine. Available metal within the borders of the country were reserved for Ukrainian armed forces.
In this case, the raw materials had to be brought from abroad. As a result, the unit price of the stove rose to $150. Necessary the metal plates were transported by sea to the port of Odessa, which had been the target of the Russian bombing almost non-stop. Fireplaces were involved in the flues, which contributed to raising the price of the stove.

QUESTION:
Ok. I understand. Would it be better to produce stoves in the US? There are a lot of workshops here that know how to make SIMPLE stoves that work and are sufficient for local needs.

ANSWER:
I understand your proposal. It should be remembered that here in the US the wage level is significantly higher than in Ukraine. Freight charges from the US are also significant. I don’t think there would be any savings. On the contrary. The unit price of the stove will be significantly more expensive.
